Is cebu an ideal place to open an indian restaurant?

    If you plan to do it, make sure that there is enough customer that will going to go in your restaurant, since your plan it to put up an indian restaurant, then you must make sure that there is enough indian people in Cebu, since you will going to offer an indian cuisine, because most of Filipino people are not totally aware about your foods, except maybe if they stay in middle east or spend time in india, it will takes time before they make an adjustments on the foods you offer, but if you will going to ask me, my favorite indian foods is chicken or mutton biryani. But if I will you, you must put up said business in Manila / Metro Manila, since there are some volumes of indian residence in that place. .......................................…

If you have the cash to open a "chain" of restaurants in Asia then I can't honestly believe that you need the help of strangers on YA to assist in formalities. I suggest you get your minions on the task and do your due diligence so that you can turn your fortunes into more as opposed to sinking your rupees into a bottomless money pit.

Yes of course, Cebu is a tourist destination. It all depends on you on how to make your business successful. You should know where to place your business, preferably in a high traffic area. ( Where there are lots of people.) Remember, not only Indians will eat your food but also the locals and other tourists.

that could work because there aren't a lot of known Indian Restaurants in Cebu... but try to understand the Cebuano market can be unforgiving. you won't find Racks in Cebu, Bo's Coffee has been making Starbucks and CBTL look an imitation, and an eat-all-you can yakiniku like Yakimix in Manila will only cost 500 pesos per head in Cebu. if you want to succeed in Cebu, you have to be either really cheap or really special. Cebuanos will never pay a lot of money for food because they have very inexpensive but delicious alternatives.

Listen up Filipinos can barely afford to eat in Filipino restaurants What seriously makes you think they would take a punt and spend their very little entertainment allowance on something new? As to the locals, forget it As to tourists--a lot of ancient old western guys with ages above 60 cant handle spicy food in their diet. Indian restaurants in the PI ? That is one way to throw money away I suppose.

Very few Indians here in Cebu and curry chicken is the only Indian dish I have ever seen them eat. Mostly, they won't eat hot peppers or strongly spiced food, they are more geared toward bland, mushed up or chopped up bits of food over rice.
