EMS shipping from China.

Does any1 have experience shipping from China EMS to Philippine province?

  • Hello there, I have an incoming package from China and from the tracking site of EMS it was "HANDED OVER TO CUSTOMS" and I believe it meant that the package is now in Pasay EMS office. The thing is, I live here in Pangasinan. It's my first time to have something shipped thru EMS and I do not know what's the next process after this one. Here is my questions: - do I have to go to Pasay EMS office to claim my package or does our local post office here delivery the package to my doorstep? Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated and preferably those with experiences regarding shipment coming in from abroad to their province thru EMS. Thank u so much!

  • Answer:

EMS is cooperation between international post offices rather than a private courier company, so you will not find an EMS office for picking up your package. . Your package will be sent from the China Post, go through customs in Philippines and then be delivered by the Philippine postal service. It will be delivered to whatever address you specified to place on the shipping label. It does not matter whether you live in a city or province, the system is the same, but delivery may take longer in a province. So you should be able to receive it wherever you normally receive mail. They will require a signature. When I once shipped a document package from China to Manila it took about seven days.
