Where Is Department Of Health Philippines?

How to validate a US birth certificate in the Philippines?

  • So I was born in Florida an have the original copy of my birth certificate (I actually have two copies of the original). Both my college and my new office job wont accept it. They told me I need it validated to be acceptable in the Philippines. The Department of Health (not sure which department it was) in Florida told me that I may need to order an Apostille birth certificate. Apostille certificates are for countries that did not sign some sort of law which accept regular US birth certificates....I dunno, not sure. Does anyone have any additional info on this?

May I suggest you call the U.S. Embassy in Manila, they should be able to tell you what you need to do.....

Let me guess. You are Filipino as well. If so, all you need to do is to register your birth abroad. Philippine Consulate in Miami @ http://www.philippinesmiami.org/index.php?page=consular-services-miami/faq-miami/#birth and this - http://www.philippinesmiami.org/uploads/pdfs/birth.pdf
