Where are some nice DECENT price apartments in Philly?

Why houses for sale or apartments (condos) are more expensive or same price as Europe?

  • I've been surfing on the net houses for sale or apartments, prices is almost the same as Europe if not higher ?Are the people or the real estates agents dreaming or something? Are they come from another planet? Philippines cannot come not an inch on the level of the modern world so I don't understand what mentality or knowledge these people can have. All over Europe the streets are lighted not Philippines. Roads are 4 lanes, not Philippines. Houses are well fenced, fully equipped sometimes well furnished ready for sell, key at hand. Apartments buildings has concierge to clean up the vicinity not Philippines. So why are they asking a lot of money putting on the same value like the west? If you take out the nature ,Philippines has the same level as Africa, but a little bit better.

I agree with you. I am also wondering why? Not only the price of condos are questionable but the quality of the materials and the total measure of lot area as well, it seems it was overprice indeed . I think the Philippines has no price control or legal rule on real estate price system so they can put the price what ever they wish which base on international price standard converted to Peso currency. Only affordable for big dollar earners or Filipino politicians, business owners, & executives positions. The ordinary Juan de la Cruz can't afford to buy their own home & have no right to enjoy the Filipino lifestyle even they are professionals. In other countries the condos are in dollar price & the buyers are dollar earners too so they can afford to buy. Even a factory workers or cleaners or car washers can afford to buy a home if they really want too, they have a choice because their government are supporting their people to own their home. Philippines should examine the house prices & the real estate before it's too late that their own people are ending up forever renters or living in extended family and the next generations are homeless or squatters in their own country. So sad.

Yousef Imran may not be well informed but foreigners can own a condo or a townhouse. If married to a filipina, he can own property in his wife's name. That is my situation here. I live in a gated subdivision here in Davao.

This is another reason why not to think about buying a condo or townhouse in the Philippines. They are over priced for what you get. The terms are out rageous and then you have the Association fees that always will increase every year. My G/F here in Thailand has her own home. I don't have to worry.

All depends on location, location and location just like anywhere else. Besides the internet is generallt not the place to find houses at reasonable prices. I wouldn't concern youself about it. Foreigners cannot own property in the Philippines anyway.

Foreigners can't own anything here so basically, you don't need to worry about these things anyway.
