Once you delete your xbox live profile, will it stop making you pay?

I have had xbox live on my account for about 4 months and I want to cancel the subscription. I deleted my profile, both the profile and the achievements. Will it stop charging my debit card now?
Answer:

No. The account still exists on Xbox Live and you will be charged if you have purchased a subscription and have auto renewal on. To keep it from renewing, you have to turn auto renew off on xbox.com and I suggest removing the card.

You can never actually delete an account. It always floats somewhere on Microsoft's memory.. But, if you would recover the account again, you could remove the Debit card off the profile by going under profile options and account management..

Make sure that your ex account has had your debit/master card information deleted and you have removed auto renewal from your subscription. One question why did you cancel your Xbox Live account? You switched to another account or just moved on?
