Where can you find good singapore-style laksa?

  • Since the Laksa Shack has moved out of Bangsar Village, i am at a loss.. i hardly go down to KL centre, and am always at Sri Hartamas/Bangsar/(maybe) PJ (the curve). I'm not local to KL, so i really don't know...

    There is a laksa shack in Midvalley Megamall lower ground level opposite Singapore Chicken Rice. The location is pretty secluded, but if you go infront of the singapore chicken rice, you will see it. Its a bummer that they close down the one in Bangsar Village. I am a frequent there and i love their laksa johor.

Honestly the nicest and cheapest (best value for money at only Rm2.80 a large bowl which could cost you RM4.30 in KL), this is in Ipoh old town. Since you can't visit Ipoh often - then the closest would be SS 2 food court and hawker centre, open at dinner only and closes around 11 p.m every night.

There are 3 laksa restaurants in 1U. One in Jusco. One on old wing ground floor next to the stair case, if you know where Dave's Deli is and the other one along the LG at the new wing next to a money changer. I think the one at new wing is the Laksa Shack.

Personally I prefer the 1 at PJ old under the big tree. Next to MPPJ nursery garden. Good & cheap. RM3.50.

I thought there's 1 Laksa Shack at Jaya Shopping Mall, Section 14, Petaling Jaya. Near Digital Mall. It's the 1st opened Laksa Shack if not mistaken. The cheapest laksa & best laksa in PJ, I've ever eaten was in a high school LOL. RM2 only.
