Is there such thing as dirty blood?

Do you know bekam? Is there such thing as dirty blood?

  • In Bahasa we call it 'bekam'. I do not know what you guys call this in English. I got headches & I went to this altenative medical treatment. The doctor use a device looks like a cup to suck the blood through the skin. When the skin turns into blue & black in about 5-10minutes, she uses a needle to punch the skin & bleed. Most of the time it is thick & dark red. These blood, according to the doctor is dirty blood, that causes headches, body aches and that this blood can't carry oxygen, and need to be remove out of one's body. I have been doing this for the last 10 years. I feel it does cure in minutes. Is there such thing as dirty blood, or am I doing the right thing?

    Sometimes the traditional way is useful. If you think there's no harm to you, why not continue. My grandma at home use her traditional way, put some medical oil on her skin and use a syiling or cow bone (don't know true or false) and start straching it on her back. She said can let the "angin" inside of her body out.

First I thought you meant David Beckham ... I've heard about that.. Not only it can cause headache, but also it can cause pimples and boils etc. You can go to kedai traditional medicine and I think I've heard they can prepare a mixture of traditional herbal drink for that kind of problem. issit a type of leech?? it suppose to suck your blood not clean your blood. if really want to clean blood, go for blood donation. it the same principle only this time it helps others.

sometimes, traditional medication can do miracles that can't be explained in scientific terms ... If you feel much better after the treatment, probably it is effective ...

better go to hospital and donate some blood my opinion, it's the cup [ vacuum effect] that makes the blood thick . same case when you got a love bite when some of your blood taken, your body will generate new bloods and make the blood circulation better. when the blood circulation is good, it will deliver more oxygen to more parts of your body and makes you a feel good no such thing as dirty blood

In Chinese it is called "Kua Sa". I used to do that before, After I met a Chinese Doctor, he told me that don't do that. It might cause damage rather then cure. For that method it is used for others treatment.
