What is the best way ?

  • to cook tauhu (tofu) ? what i usually do is : 1. cut it then squares, fry and then sprinkle some fine salt on it and eat 2. tauhu sumbat (stuffed tafu) my mom's recipe 3. stim tofu (mixed with chopped chicken, add some chopped onions & chillies, pour egg on top & stim it) - chinese style

No one method is best....[or any one is not better nor worse than the others...]. To continue with your methods... 4. cut tauhu into small squares....then steam till hot. Do not over cook. Drain off excess water. Pour some "Yeo Hap Seng" sambal belacan over...... or you can stir fry chop up pieces of chicken meat, or beef, or prawns ....(flavoured with oyster sauce.....etc.) and pour over.....[or you can fry the tauhu together with the chop up meat...... 5. Put small cubes in your favourite soup .....

Malay style usually cut into 2 peaces (triangle) deep fried. Than prepare fried sambal consist of oil, blended dried chili, onion, tamarind juice, sugar, salt, fried ground nut (tumbuk hancur) and add the deep fried tauhu.

simply marinate with salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder mixed with little water. marinate for 10 mins and deep fry. can be eaten just like that.

I JUST FRY THEM AND DEEP THEM IN SOY SAUCE WITH LEMON OR VINEGAR,SAUCE SAUCE,MINCED GARLIC AND A LITTLE SALT.
