  • Hi, I have got job offer from KL, Malaysia. They are offering 6800 RM / Month. Is 6800 is enough for single person ? How much RM will i be able to save per month ? I am very simple kinda guy my expenses include. 2 Time food - Normal Transportation Electricity Rent for apartment - semi furnished (Will there be any deposit ? Do i need to pay some money in advance ?) Internet Cell Phone TV - Connection I don't think i am missing anything...

    RM6800 per month sounds okay if you are single in KL. You should be able to survive with the expenses that you mentioned. Even if you decide to buy a car and a decent-sized apartment, this should still be enough. What important is that you know how to manage your money and do not over-spend. There are a lot of people in KL earning much less than what you are being offered, and they still manage to get by. Yes, renting an apartment will definitely require deposit to be paid. Make sure there is a proper tenancy agreement and signed by both parties.

It is possible for you to save 50%~60%. I travelled there last summer where I was told that local people got very little salary,like..to say...1500~2000RM per month.I could not believe it but this can at least mean your salary is not bad. Price of food in KL is quite low.There are small Indian restaurants throughout the streets.You can enjoy a HUGE plate of CARRY CHICKEN RICE at 5RM. And for the rent of apartments?It really depends.
