How I can get to interview people from organization about child abuse in Malaysia?

• For my school project,I do an interactive information for child abuse topic i have problem with it,the lecturer say my content shouldn't be only based on the text only,he ask me to put more other types of things like audio,video,etc the lecturer give example,he say I need some evidence that can prove this kind of things really happen in Malaysia n at least he say its better if I can get person telling more about this topic like the statistic,reasons its happening,prevention,victims,etc so,for this topic,the only thing I can think of is video...the documentary,thats the only thing I think its suitable... I never do shooting n interview people at the same time...but for this project,I don't have any choice so,my problem is what should I do 1st to get interview people? for example,try get people from Social Welfare Department of Malaysia (Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Malaysia) for interview...n get this person to talk about the topic that happening in Malaysia my questions: 1) so,do I need to call them or its better to email them? 2) what I'm suppose to write to them that I want to interview them? I mean how to write it in formal way? I mean u can't just write like "hey,I want to interview u" lol 3) what steps i have to take to interview a person from organization? what i have to do to get interview them? 4) do u think is it possible to do all this interview in one week? why i have only one week?bcoz this collage have short schedule n don't have much time to do it...plus,the project is not really have to be 100% complete, its prototype only,so i think no need to be from A-Z?...the idea is much more important here 4) if i just want to make a short documentary, the prototype one...should i get a letter to give to the organization?a letter from lecturer? but its only 1 week i have,i don't have time...so,is it really important to get one? at 1st,i was thinking to get friends to do interview on them but sadly they are not really part can help about the topic,so i have to go other way... 5) if u didn't agree with whole idea of interview above,then can u think any idea to come out other than text for the content? it based on the basic element like text,video,sound,animation,image...my topic is child abuse,my content i only put is text based...so,what should i put more? thank u

  1. Call. 2. ...Okay you know your formal writing from school textbooks? Use that. Lovely examples there especially if asking for help or setting up a meeting. Doesn't matter if its BM or English, the format is pretty much the same. Better be precise in the letter what you're going to ask. 3. Well, 1st you gotta call for them to agree then set up a meeting with them. And yes, you have to go to their place. If you're doing the documentary, practice with the camera before the meeting. 4. ...Depends if the staff would do the meetings in a week. Best to write all your questions 1st and make it all fit in 1 interview. 4.b. Yes, you do need a letter from your lecturer or college. 5. Did you put in statistics? You can also put in articles from newspapers. Note: If its ain't the staff in the interview but real victims who wants privacy...you're gonna have to mosaic their face or tape em in the shadows and change their voice.
