How long does it take to get malaysian work (teaching) permit?
-
I got a job of a Lecturer in a university in sarawak, malaysia. After taking several documents they told me, they were going to apply for my work permit and would inform me the outcome. It has been 3 weeks and I didn't get any response. Does anyone know how long does it take to get such work permit? Can the outcome be negative? (the uni is in sarawak which may have different system than mainland malaysia)

Answer:
It all depends on how much money you want to spend. It is NOT what you know, but WHO you know.

Anything from1 week to 6 months or more..... In this present IT age,the Uni should have e-mail and fax facilities, and communication is quick, simple and cheap - why don't you contact them ?
