How Is The Salary In Malaysia?

I have got a offer in Malaysia(Selangor) , salary is 9500 RM.How good is this salary?How much I can save?

    RM9500? That is good and enough. You can save lots but it depend on your lifestyle. If you live simple then you can save lots but if you live like a king then that salary will not enough.

RM9500 or MYR9500 is about USD2,800 So think once again, where u from? If Indonesia, MYR9500 is heaven for u.. Its around 29 millions in Indonesian Rupiah.

It all depends on whether you are provided with perks ie accomodation, transport, taxation being reimbursed etc. Board and lodgilng, transport and tax roughly add up to RM5000 and the difference is your savings without being spendthrift indulging in entertainments and alikes.

That's too little. Alot of blue collar workers are drawing that salary. To be considered high salary in malaysia, you should be drawing at least 30,000 RM per month.

Agreed with gkeng, it all depend on the actual offer. ~Tax free? (most of the expat are getting tax free) ~Accommodation and transport. Generally, in Malaysia MYR9,500 for a software engineer is at the senior engineer level.
