Which area in IT is easy to find a job?

Is it easy for a foreigner to find a decent job in KL or the Klang area legally? How do I go about doing it?

• I'm a Singaporean, and I don't have a single contact in the whole of Malaysia. The only few times I have ever been to Malaysia are as a tourist. Maybe I could ask someone at the Malaysian Embassy here in Singapore, but I would really appreciate some help from here first. Mention all the steps that I would need to take, from start to end. Include all the relevant details that I would need (work permit, accommodation, the job itself). Thank you very, very much.

  I think getting a work permit should be easy once you get a job here. My Head of Department is Singaporean and he has been working in Malaysia for about 5 years (not sure on the exact period, I am not very close to him). Getting a job - Well, you need to search for it! What kind of "decent" job are you looking for? What are your qualifications? What do you intend to work as? For a start, search around jobsteet.com.my for any job openings. Normally, Singaporeans don't look for jobs in Malaysia. It's always the other way round. My HOD got a job here because he was transferred from Singapore and stayed here ever since. Apply for a job, go for interviews and select the job that you think suits you. Then, normally your company will guide you in getting your works permit, because you need a letter from your company for you to apply for one. Approval should be easy and fast.
