What is the lowest salary of a veterinary in malaysia?

What is the basic salary in Malaysia?

  • I am an Interior Designer from the Philippines who has almost 3years of experience. I have an offer to work in Malaysia for $400+ free accomodation and transportation. I find it very small because I'm earning the same amount here in the Philippines and what makes my life more comfortable and my income quiet enough for myself is that I'm staying with my parents who supports me (food, shelter) a driver( brings and picks me up in work) and a maid (cooks and does my laundry). I believe that the standard of living in Malaysia is way higher compared to the Philippines that's why I feel that the salary they were offering should also go with it.

Hi there! You can refer to this job site http://myjobstreet.jobstreet.com/premium/basicSalaryReport.asp?param=interior%20designer%7C%7Cmy%7C%7Cmy on the basic salary for most jobs locally. Currently, I don't think your offer is too bad. Especially since it includes Accommodation & Transportation. Usually these are the major output from our salary. It actually depends, the cost of food isn't that costly. I've some Philippines friends that came here to study, they said the cost of food isn't too expensive in fact some are the same depending on which city you're from. Honestly it's better to compare if there's much exposure, experience & international gains if you're into career. But based your descriptions it seemed money & experience isn't less in your priority & you're still very much attached to your family & comfort. But if it's your company decision to post it, it's wise if you can accept such post who knows they might elect you to hire position especially if you've international exposure. It's up to you on your personal priorities actually. Career vs. Comfort at Home.

Wow!! US$400 only? You should at least be earning US$1500 with accommodation, transportation and insurance. Fresh grads are earning US$4000 per month, at least.

You deserve an higher pay. The average pay for someone with your experience is at least double of what you have been offered. You employer probably has taken the free accomodation and transportation into the account. The cost of living is definitely higher than in Philippines. If you main objective is to earn money, then I would suggest you remain in your country. However if you have want to gain more experience and different exposures that you might not get in Philippines, then coming to Malaysia is not a bad idea at all. If I were you, I will choose to come to Malaysia. Looks like you are presently depending too much on your family, you need to be more independent and the best way to be independent and gain experience is too work overseas. I am willing to sacrifice a little hardships and accept lower pay to achieve that. I'll treat the duration of my stay in Malaysia as my "practical training". I am sure after returning to Philippines, with my overseas exposures and experience I'll be able to demand more from my would be employer.

In Malaysia, recognised academic qualifications become increasingly evident beside hands-on experiences. Those with adequate qualifications can demand for higher salaries. Please check your academic qualification accreditation with Ministry of Education or Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awan or Lembaga Akreditasi Negara.

Hi there, I'm working in an international advertising agency, perhaps I can relate your salary to a Graphic Designer in my company. I'll try my best to give you a rough guide. 1st of all I need to understand if you are working in a big/well establish company or a local company. Of cause the bigger the better. Looking at your experience, you are qualified to be a Senior Interior Designer. In an advertising agency a Senior Graphic Designer you should earn around 1,200++ or more based on your capability - of cause without accommodations and transportation. Working in another country is an excellent experience but With the offer USD400 is really low for me, I think as an expat you deserve to ask for a much higher pay. At the end it's really up to you and good luck! Regards, Yoke

I'm in the ID industry but my company is doing ID construction instead of design. I'm a fresh graduate and I'm being paid higher than USD400. I think you should be paid higher than me since you have 3 years of experience! Furthermore, accomodation in Malaysia is not really that expensive. Depending on where you want to stay, you can get a room for as low as RM200... To me, transportation is fairly cheap and convenient. I take public transport (Bus and/or LRT) to my office and taxi to sites. And I can claim for my transportation to sites. I don't spend any more than RM150 a month travelling to and from my office (Not including taxi fares which I can claim for). I stay at home with my family too, but my friend who stays alone says that he pays around RM7 a week for his laundry to be laundered... I have a feeling you are being underpaid... Look hard, and I'm sure you can get a higher paying job than mine!
