What makes Malaysia a great country?

Why other countries look down towards Malaysia..based on my opinion,Malaysia is a quality country. why?

Malaysia is a good country..I traveled Malaysia last month and it was awesome!!! what's wrong with you guys...Malaysia is not in the " MOST WORST COUNTRY" ...many americans,united people enjoys Malaysia..Malaysia is a good Asian country,same as Singapore,Thailand,Philippine,Indonesia.… give me 5 reason why people not that interest on Malaysia???

    Yes, Malaysia is a good country for travellers, no doubt. Good food and great variety of food, beautiful historical buildings, nice kampungs, nice shopping malls, nice highways (PLUS highway), great scenery, not so bad beaches. But other than that, the above comments say it all. If you stay here long enough, you will see the true colours of Malaysians, especially the politicians. Certain races are still being treated like second class citizens. On the other hand, immigrants from a certain neighbouring country can be treated like first class citizens and even treated well above those who have stayed here since independence.

Racist laws (putting the 1st class race above the rest, giving benefits and no taxes) Marriage to under age kids is legal (I'm not joking) and no arrests are being made. Corruption is way too common and money disappears... We are black listed by US because our country does not do enough against human trafficking. Other than being a Malay, you cannot be Prime Minister if you are a woman. Yes Malaysia IS a good country,. what u are experiencing is, my dear, the culture of the citizen. the citizens are good.. but BEHOLD the government!~! phew.. they are a pain in the arrss..!

Charlie and emerald have said everything. That Catholic Church firebombing was really a bad publicity for Malaysia. To the rest of the region especially some Filipinos, Thai, Burmese and some Americans, they think that the problems (Islamic rebellions) in Southern Philippines (Mindanao) and some places in Southeast Asia are funded by Malaysian and Indonesian Islamic terrorist groups like Jemaah Islamiah. Although I admit each country has their pros and cons. There's no such thing as a perfect country.

Malaysia is a great country, I'm sure of that. Every country is great in their own ways. Forget other people's sayings that this country is bad or so on's. I'm gonna go to this country in 2 weeks. Can't wait! I've heard of bad things about Malaysia though. I guess it's not the Malaysia that's bad-- but instead, the government. But anyway, people has their own opinion. Something I love, others could probably hate. :D Anyways I can't wait for next next week! Lol

I can think of 5 things good about Malaysia: 1) Beautiful girls 2) Good citizens (politicians excluded) 3) Good food 4) Cheap place to visit 5) Affordable to pay off police with any crime you commit ( I ran a traffic light 2 years ago and cost me only MYR50 and if in USA will be US$300. Do not tip the polce)
