How do salesmen overcome objections?

All trained sales people are taught, "With every NO, you get closer to the YES". There is much that goes into overcoming objections but the very basics are: 1. Product Knowledge 2. Listening 3. Enthusiasm The more proficient you are with product knowledge, the better you can respond to an objection and control the sale process. Most unsuccessful sales folks don't put enough stock in "listening" to the prospect. In the MAJORITY of instances, the prospect will tell you what interests/concerns them most about the prospective purchase. ALL successful sales folk work harder at listening than pitching. The catch is asking the right questions that will encourage the prospect to open up. In ALL instances, enthusiasm "is" 80% of ANY sale!!! It's like walking into a room filled with people laughing about something and you walk in. Either immediately or shortly after you've entered the room, you will begin to join them laughing without even knowing WHAT they are laughing about. The point is; enthusiasm IS infectious!! The more excited you are about your product, the more excited your prospect will become. Which can reduce the amount "OBJECTIONS" you may encounter. Good Luck! Funky
