What makes the korean Boys Over Flowers better than the Japanese one?

  • Ok so I'm trying HARD to watch the korean version of BOF, but it's sooo boring. I personally like the japanese one MUCH better. I got to about the part where Ji Hoo and Joon Pyo are fighting over Jan Di, and I just don't know what's so great about it. I mean it's cute, but idk something about it just bothers me. (maybe the way Ji Hoo stares off in the distance even though there's nothing there?) tell me a reason why you liked BOF over HYD. Please don't spoil it for me. I also want to know what were major changes from HYD to BOF. If I remember correctly wasn't there a scene where an apple symbolized the friendship in HYD, but I didn't see that in BOF.

    Personally I havn't seen it but there must be some reason because BOF is much more popular all over Asia than HYD. I guess better looking cast did a good part of it. Also I find Japanese dramas to be too "anime-like" It's like watching a real life anime. Theres also a reason why Korean dramas are popular among Asia. It's style is unique and different from other TV shows.

I'm sorry but I think HYD is better than BOF. No offense meant to Koreans, Im a big fan of Korean dramas but in this case, considreing the storyline, I prefer Hana Yori Dango. Sure, BOF gots the hotter cast but HYD got the better story. BOF though got the extremes: equistrian, car race and New Caledonia and Macau- meaning, expensive and expense is synonymous in with better production. However, I think HYD got the complete story. BOF ends with a haging but good ending.

Well for my friend she also enjoyed the Jap ver. better *the actual story* but guy wise she liked the kor ver more :D i watched the first ep of the jap one and i didnt like it myself :/ and as for the apple im pretty sure they dont even mention an apple in kor ver :o

Telling you major changes would be spoiling it for you :) It may be because you have already watched the story basically, and go into the drama not watching, but comparing.

no offence too but BOF is soooooo much better cos the guys in it are sooo much HOTTER well the Japanese guys are hot... but Kim Bum (whew) but i love the two dramas as a whole
