I don't have money right now, so do I have prepare for that, I also don't speak Korean so... just everything is kind of mess up. and I just want to know what should I prepare for my trip to study in Korea school. Do I need to buy my own uniform

  • Answer:

lucky you! i wish i could go.. if you are going to study in korea, you need to know the language, unless you go to an international school. before you go, you should learn some of the basic phrases that you will need, like "where's the bathroom", and "how much is this?". most schools use uniforms, but some don't. when you're saving up your money, make sure there is enough to pay for where ever you're staying (unless its with a relative). food and clothes can be at a low price, depending on what you buy, so save enough for that. if you're staying a long time without coming back, you are going to need more money for clothes and food. if you can get a part time job in korea later, then you should be ok. for transportation, everyone pretty much walks and rides the subways and trains, so you only need to pay for the tickets and whatnot. also, make sure you have enough for the plane ticket itself haha ^^ if you are not staying with a relative, then you should do some research on the currency (won), culture (such as respect for the elderly), and, most importantly, the food! the basic meal there is rice and side dishes, including kimchi. make sure you can stomach those first, or you will be eating ramen everyday for the first three weeks. have fun in korea---- and don't worry about the sudden culture shock, embrace it! when i was first completly surrounded in a land with only koreans and almost no americans, i didn't think i would panic, but i did. haha ^^ also---> alot of koreans speak a little english, so you'll be ok
