How to apply for a Korean tourist visa.?

  • I'm looking at traveling to Korea later this year, but I am a little confused as to how I apply for a tourist visa. Does anybody know if this is something I apply for in this country or something I do when I get over there?

When you get off the plane in Korea the immigration person will stamp your passport and that (the stamp) is the tourist visa. I think Canadians get 6 month visa, USA 3 months....Easy Peasy. Just make sure you have a ticket booked to leave also - or they might not let you in because they will think you are planning to work.

Oh this is informative! But How much is the round trip cost for the tickets? I am also planning to go to visit a friend and jeju Island too!
