How to stop broadcast service in Linux?

Way to get myslef from being too involved in the kpop world?

  • Lately I've been into kpop too much. And I'm not even Korean. I get extremely offended when haters bash on certain boy/girl groups that I like. What the hell? I don't even know why I care so much. I've seen the Koreans fans become obsessed with their fave idols. I don't wanna be like them. Fans are rude towards other artists that's aren't under the same company as they idols they love. It's like they have to take a side. I actually like artists from every company...(YG,SM,JYP,DSP...etc). Here's an example of a 2ne1 hater: "wow YG is copying JYP and CUBE’s strategies. 4minute, BEAST and 2PM already did community service. it’s pathetic that 2ne1 has to broadcast theirs to get more fame! They’re so ugly and pathetic! Worst group of the year! " Every time I see comments on websites (ex. allkpop.com, the example can from this website) that insults the idols I like I get mad. I don't wanna care. How do get myself out of KPOP? I've already listened to my American music and my Spanish music. I guess that why I got into kpop because I got bored of these. But I need to find a way to stop caring so much. And don't tell me to go out and have fun (cuz I already do). Anyone else going through this? It's like a ******* addiction. I NEED to quit. Maybe it's a phase...lol...I'm not crazy btw I want serious answers...

sadly, THERE IS NO WAY.. O_O haha kidding xD lol dont worry, ur not the only one ^^ i'm not a korean too, and i also like many groups from different agencies but still, it doesnt bugs me since i dont give a damn about what people says about my fave groups since I'M THEIR FAN, AND I KNOW THEM BETTER than those antis do. its not wrong to love kpop, but it is definitely wrong to FORCE yourself not to love the thing that u love, which in this case - kpop. if u do that, ur obsession and addiction will become worst, believe me.. I WILL NOT GIVING U WAYS TO QUIT KPOP, BUT INSTEAD I WILL TELL YOU HOW TO REACT TO THOSE COMMENTS, MY WAY ^^ so just skip the next paragraphs if you've decided to stick to the silly idea of avoiding kpop completely :) dont give up on kpop because of other people, its pointless.. why let others bothers you and controls your life, dont give a damn on what people think. if its really bugs you, please stop! STOP TORTURING YOUSELF BY READING THOSE STUPID HATEFUL COMMENTS.. just ignore it completely.. or even better, think 'positive' about the comments like i always do, it will make u feel so much better ^^ like example, i'm now addicted to mblaq n yesterday i just came across this hateful comment - 'OMG these guys are so gay and f***ing uglyyy'.. of course, any fans would be mad, but when i'm reading it, i just laughs and screams 'ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME?? hahahah idiots'.. the things that i had in mind is 'is she blind? like seriously' or 'she says this bcoz her boyfriend is ugly like an ogre, that why she so stressed up' and 'life must have treat her so bad recently that makes all her senses goes off'.. you know, stuffs like that.. i mean come on!! anyone with a right, wise mind would be agree that joon is handsome, and yet this pathetic girl saying the opposite. how pathetic is that?? so, everytime there's someone says that this group is better, that group sucks or this songs dont deserve to be #1 whatsoever, dont give a damn to it and just pity those guys for not having a life.. plus remember, these antis posting up these comments probably bcoz they want attention or bcoz they are just plain JEALOUS (yes, they r jealous that their fave artist close to that artist, or they are jealous bcoz they r not handsome/famous/talented/sexy enough like the artist that they hate so much), so dont reply back with harsh words and give them what they want, which is attention. just ignore these pathetic attention-seeker losers completely ^_^ antis are pathetic, just keep that in mind.. poor them, they were having a bad life, the only thing that can give them pleasure is just bashing on another peoples and praising their idols, since that is the only thing that they can do.. so just let these poor antis to think anything that they want to think ^^ so next time, when someone insulting you and bashing your fave artist, just sings at their ugly faces - 'i dont care eh eh eh eh eh~' and dont forget to sway ur hands like the girls do, and make sure its just inches from their faces xDD hahah that would be awesome! i know i'm not helping much and my solution is kind of childish and nonsense, but hope it will help u in any way.. if its not, *sigh* well then "sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry~".. :)

Heh, I'm kinda like you in a way. I'm really into SHINee and FT Island, so I would go to certain forums at least 10 times a day, and I would go to allkpop a lot to check any news on them or other celebs I like. heh, and I'm very into K-pop. :] You can say, that I'm ..obsessed. xDD I guess it's okay to really like a certain celeb, just don't cross the line. (like those freaky blood "fan letters" come celebs are getting....that is just beyond over) and yes, I'm like you I sometimes get mad or just annoyed at people who are bashing the celebs I like. What I do is just ignore them. Let them talk their little heart out. I guess they just want attention from those who like the celeb they are bashing. and everyone has their own opinion, so ignore them..pretend that you didn't read it if you did. Sometimes no matter what you say, the person won't change their mind...so it's their fault that they are missing the celebs good music. and it's up to the celeb to change what other people think about them...so..continue to support and love your fave celeb. ^__^ Heh. It's okay to be addicted to music, again just don't cross the line. Try only listening to music for only times you are bored, or do something like watching TV, read a book or manga to get your mind off K-pop. Try to go on K-pop sites for maybe only once a day...Also, for me..when school starts, I don't get much time to fangirl...so school will affect your addiction. XD I hope I helped a little....sorry for my ranting. >____________<

lol yeah ive seen some of your comments on allkpop lately when i go and comment on some of their stuff. but i wouldnt consider this as a bad thing.. instead of looking at people's comments, just ignore the comment section and just read the articles (thats what i do) get on facebook (if you have one), msn, study (have u taken SAT yet?), go to the mall with your friends, movies, etc. ..i think im addicted to watching korean tvshows and dramas (but im korean)

I know, I know. I was on the same phase as you and was trying to get out of this obsession. It's hard isn't it? TIP: the more you try to stop yourself from being obsessed, the more you will be drawn to this certain obsession of yours (which is KPOP). As a fan, you would easily be offended when someone's insulting your idol but look, an idol group is not perfect. They have downsides as well. Remember, RESPECT EACH PERSONS OPINION ---but I know that it's not right to insult. Think of it this way, they might either be jealous or there's something wrong with that group that's why they hated/insulted them. Here, if you have kpop music, try to not listen to them for a week and listen to the new popular English songs that you have. Then, if you have pictures of your favorite group, please try not to open them or at least delete them. Next, don't visit kpop sites like allkpop because it tells everything about the kpop world and it's not going to help. To sum it all up, you just need to avoid anything that has something to do with kpop and slowly but surely, you will see that you're out of that phase. Good luck on getting out Kpop! It would be a long process.... no kidding!

I experienced a similar phase, except mine was more extreme. It first started out as curiosity as I wanted to know if the events from the Korean historical dramas were really true. Then it turned into an obsession, because the more I found out about this country, it made me proud of who I am and my ethnic country. And then, I became a racist the more I discovered what the Japanese and Chinese did to my people, and what they are still doing today. (e.c. Dokdo, East Sea, Koguryo, Kaya, etc.) I became sensitive to comments made by Chinese and Japanese racists/trolls. I would argue all day and night with them. Later, I became close-minded and did not accept that was being critical, but true, of South Korea... about it's own historical fabrication. (e.c. Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Haedong Kumdo, Daehan Kumdo, Yudo, etc.) My over-obsession towards Korea eventually prevented my mental growth and blinded me from seeing the bigger picture... From experience, there is no other way but to control yourself. ("Self-control.") There are many ways to do that, but they take considerable amount of time depending on the person. Yoga or martial arts that still hold it's traditional value will not only help your physical growth but your mental growth as well. The phase you are in just indicates that you are still young, mentally. It will go away soon depending on how well you can control yourself. Hope this helped. edit: Aside from controlling yourself, if you want to continue loving K-pop, one good friend of mine once told me, "Limit yourself. Do enough today so that you want to do more tomorrow. If you do everything at once, you'll lose it all." But this also takes a lot of self-control.

It's not wrong that you like KPop. I'm American and I only listen to Billy Joel and Oingo Boingo. All my other music is from England, Japan, France, Finland, India, Korea, China, or Russia. I belong to only one of those nationalities (Russian) by 15%. This isn't bad...it may be an addiction, but it's better than doing drugs! You just love music. I wouldn't call that bad.
