What can I bring from Korea to Canada?

Money help! Visiting Korea for 6 months.?

• I'm thinking of going to Korea next year for six months. During my visit, I would like to buy a lot of souvenirs and visit a lot of places, but I'm stressed that i wouldn't have enough money for the whole six months. Plus I have to pay for the "motel" (cheap apartment 200$/month) in cash, for food and for transportation. I did my research and i found out that the average cost by day is 45$. Since I'm going to Korea for 180 days, it'll cost me 8,100$ for the whole trip!!!! -Should I bring all that money with me? -Should I get a part time job of six months? -Can i use a credit card from Canada in Korea? Please what should I do with my money problem??? THANK YOU!

  Unless if you can wire transfer it, then yes, bring it with you. Note you must declare over 10.000USD. What will you work? Who will hire you? You'll need a business/work visa for that. It's illegal to work on a tourist visa. Can you even get a 6 month visa.... You can use mastercard/visa credit and debit cards all around the globe and wherever they're accepted in shops. And you can work for long enough until you save. Or inherit it. Or win it somewhere. Otherwise you'll have to wait until you save enough. But $45 depends on a traveler. For a long-term traveler it's probably a lot less. Don't you think $1000 per month should be enough? Eat cheaply and there are only limited amount of souvenirs that you'll be able to pack and physically drag to the airport in a suitcase. Or go just for a month at first.
