Korean Pop Idol or FBI Agent?

  • *READ THIS* Ok, this is going to sound INCREDIBLY stupid and I know the answer to this question already but my cousin is not convinced so I turn to you, people of Yahoo Answers. My cousin wants to be a kpop idol but she also wants to be an FBI Agent. Her plan is to become a Kpop Idol for a few years and then move onto becoming an FBI Agent. Her question is and I quote "Can I become an FBI Agent after I have been a Korean Pop Idol?" I told her it that it's VERY unlikely but she's in denial. She told me to post this question on Yahoo Answers to see what the majority of people say. All she's asking for is a yes or no answer and details as to why it is a 'yes' or a 'no'. Here is the question once again: Can I become an FBI Agent after I have been a Korean Pop Idol?

    Hi, Chiyyam. First is your cousin Korean? American? Korean/American? I think that might be the first thing establish for becoming a Kpop idol. She would almost have to be at least part Korean or live there to be a Kpop idol. If she has the means and the Chutzpa, she can do that. To be an FBI agent, she would have to be American and pass the their rigorous training and background checks. The two should not cancel each other out.

Yes but it is unlikely that she would become a kpop idol considering how how hard it is to be big or to get chosen out there...

I think that if she wants to be a Kpop idol, she should attend those auditions and get accepted first. I'm not saying that she isn't talented or anything since I don't know her, but it is true that it's very competitive to win the audition and gets chosen by Korean ascertainment companies. She should try out to auditions couple of times since she wants to become a kpop idol, but if she fails, then she should just stick with becoming a FBI agent

I would look more into one of the two. You see, if you were a Kpop idol and then became on FBI a lot of people would want to be around you, sign autographs, get pictures, and as an FBI investigator you would need a lot of privacy. If you waiting to become a kpop idol and decided to be an agent first, Korean agencies would look down on you because of an older age. -You seem like you have a creative way of thinking though, andthat'ss hard to find now a days. I bet your a good writer.

it's very hard to be a kpop idol especially if your not korean/american or both. It's a lot of training and a lot of hard work.

Most likely not. The reason is because when you apply to positions like the FBI or CIA, they will do background checks on you. A teacher in high school once told us that there is an interview process (not a typical job interview) where they will ask questions to your family and people who know you to get a better idea about you. If you're a celebrity, you have a low chance of becoming an agent because you would easily be recognized and that would be a HUGE risk because doing an undercover mission would not work out and most likely get you killed. So if anything, she could be an FBI agent first and then a K-Pop idol. But then again, she wouldn't be young enough anymore so that wouldn't work out either. This is a funny question but I've tried to give as serious of an answer as possible.
