How do you get the symbols to show up?

How can I get my Netbook to show Korean symbols?

  • for some reason when i am on my net book only show up as little blank squares how do I fix that

  • Answer:

For XP, go to control panel, regional and language option. If you have an English OS, by default Korean will not be installed. Under the language tab, click the box "install files for east asian langauges" and click apply. It will tell you that you need to insert your windows cd. After you install and reboot, go back to language options and under the advanced tab, Korea should be checked under "code page conversion tables". This will allow you to read Korean on your browser and word documents. If you want to read Korean on Korean programs, you need to change "language for non-unicode programs" to Korean. For Vista, it should be similar to XP. For Win 7, you should be able to read Korean on default. But you need to change to system locale (unicode) to Korean to read Korean on korean programs.
