Are clothes and shoes cheaper in Korea than in the US?

Which is cheaper for clothes, Korea or US?

  • Going to Korea this summer and want to buy cheap cute summer clothes. Is it a better idea to buy a lot here and take it there? Or is it better to buy the clothes when i get to Korea? Also, how much are good summer clothes? Tee shirts? Shorts? in Korea? Thank you!

    Next time you go to a US shopping mall, check your labels and see where many of your clothes are made. You should see a lot of "Made in Korea" labels. Because they were imported, they are no doubt cheaper in Korea in general. However, price, just like in the US, is dependent on where you buy them and the dollar/won exchange rate. Anyone who says the US is cheaper, no doubt shops in Myongdong or Apkejung areas. However, if you go to Dongdaemun or Namdaemun, things are a lot cheaper. In fact, Dongdaemun is where most of the clothing sold in the US comes from. So if yuo go there, you can cut out the middle man and get some real bargains.

KOREA if you want to buy Korean Brands or Fashionable clothes that are not imported Brands (like Guess, Gucci, Hugo Boss etc..it's freakin expensive here) --> I would recommand DongDaeMoon (Day Market and Night Market also worth it) US if you want to buy Brands --> Century 21, you can't find cheaper

America is cheaper. Where the hell is people getting the idea that Korea is cheaper? I live in Korea and i've been to the US, and Korea is MUCH cheaper
