Tokyo to Kyoto by bullet train?

  • hi all, i will be going to tokyo from osaka by bullet train to meet my wife in tokyo when she come for holiday, and we intend to visit kyoto.All our trip will last one week. May i know what type of bullet train pass or round trip fare would be most suitable for us considering that i will be taking 3 times (from osaka to tokyo, tokyo to kyoto and kyoto to tokyo) and how much does it cost? Thanks a lot for the help :-)

    I give you the price that it is the cheapest. From Osaka to Tokyo it cost ¥13950 (Reserved seat ¥5440 include)and need 3hours 14min . Distance 556.4 km (Transfer 1) (Osaka to shinosaka by JR kyouto line and Shinosaka toTokyo by SHINKANSEN HIKARI 424) From tokyo to kyoto it cost ¥13420(Reserved seat ¥5440 include) and need 2hours 45min. I did recently ride the bullet train for Tokyo Station to Kyoto. unfortunately, the buying of tickets was done by the exchange program I was with at the time. Sorry I can't help you much. But it's a great trip and totally worth it =]
