Answer:
please dont listen to belie. Peopel underestimate japan. Its an extremly hard country to live in if you didnt grow up there. It takes a long time to adjust to. Japan is extremly hard if not one of the hardest countries to live in and become part of the culture and to become "japanese" There are alot of peopel who go and never learn or understand about the culture, never adjust to become "japanese" and they will say it is easy, because they dotn udnerstand that you should adapt and change to your environment. Extremly hard.

1. It's not "hard" to be an exchange student. It's the same as going to a new school, except in this school most don't speak your language. 2. Prices probably vary through the company you go through, where you go, if you live with a host family or not, etc. The cheapest is probably US$3000. 3. It takes a LONG time to get to Japan. I can't remember how long my flight took... At least 13 hours, I think. 4. You would want to have good grades, definitely, as that's a huge indicator of maturity for students. Being part of clubs might help, but maybe not. You don't need to be a star student though. 5. No. You will need a certified Japanese teacher instructing you. You can't actually learn a language by yourself anyway. You need a teacher. 6. Find an organization, apply, be accepted, pay the money, go to the country, go to school, don't get in trouble.

1. You mean how hard is it to get a chance to be one? Or, how hard is it when you are there? 2. Different programs require different levels of student participation in the cost. 3. From Atlanta to Narita is about 13 - 14 hours. 4. It will help if you have mastered a working knowledge of the language. 5. No. You best take the courses in your school. Some may test you and, if you have the skill, wave this requirement. 6. Go talk with your guidance councilor.
