Japanese Kanji to study?

I have been studying Japanese for about three years now, and have gotten pretty far. The thing that I need to study the most now in Kanji. I know that in Japan kids in Japan generally have a specific list that they study every year. I would like to study that same list so that I can learn that kanji too. does anyone know what that list is?

Go to the book store and get the list. It is published by Kumon the juku school. They are with the other study materials. (Only relevant if you live in Japan I guess) Otherwise you will have to look on Amazon Japan for the same. Or start in a more logical way. Verbs, simple nouns, etc. Verbs are most useful. Place names too but then again I have to understand them to travel around. Time, days of the week etc.
