Do not listen to the girl above, sure you may see some porn magezines on the trains sometimes but i loved tokyo, i lived there for 9 and a half years and it was the most beautiful place ever. If you're into senery go check out the parks during the spring time, the cherry blosoms are beautiful. And people in tokyo are NOT snobbish, some of the nicest people i have and ever will meet are there. Please do not listen to her, if you want to go to tokyo DO IT! it was one of the greatest experiences of my life and i really want to go back If you're into having a fun time, go to Roppongi hills in Roppongi, they have a great cinema and shopping center there, the people are really nice and will try to understand you if you ask sombody somthing. If you want to know where somthing is, just say what ever you want to find and then say "wa dokodeska?" and that means where is it? I loved japan, and I have to go back but we dont have the money, so please, if you can, try it and i promise you, you will love it there!!! P.S. The culture there is also amazing, explore their religions and look at their temples and shrines, they are beautiful!

I live in Japan and am here for the third time. I live in the western area of Tokyo and it's a very exciting city. There are beautiful parks, great shopping, interesting food, and it's quite safe. People are people, so there are friendly people and shy people. You could go to a different station in the Tokyo area, each day for more than a year and many would be unique. Come with an open mind and be ready to have fun!

It's very fun. I liked the place.

I live here. haha, You have to go to places like Shibuya and Asakusa. The subway is CROWDED and there are love hotels everywhere. Things are expensive, but the people are very nice here. There's lots of bright lights, it's safe(er) compared to NYC, and it's quite clean too for a big city. There's the crazy styles too and the anime/manga craze. You have the geisha districts and the new age stuff too. It's hard to explain. But basically it's a blend of the old and new. =)

EXPENSIVE!!!!!! Actually Japan is the most expensive place to live in in the world. There are a lot of cosplayers and you can dance Hare Hare Yukai anytime anywhere. Plus, you get to choose from a wide variety of choices of which action figure pose of your favorite anime character you wanna buy. Not like here in our country. And lots more, lots more Jpop and anime conventions and everything.

I didn't like Tokyo so much. It's a crowded, expensive, concrete jungle with few parks and greenery. I worked there, but I commuted from Yokohama. Yokohama is much nicer - a port city with parks and greenery and not so crowded.

i went to japan when i was 6, like 9 years ago. from my experience, it was absolutely amazing. tokyo is very fancy and busy. lots of stores, lots of entertainment. the best thing is, even the snack stores on the streets are so clean and neat. the streets are very tidy. but beware, some stuff in japane is pretty pricy... but it's totally worth it. XDDD pls answer mine.
