High Paying Japan Jobs?
-
Hey guys, I want to live in Japan, I'm going to college next year, and I had a few questions, how much do computer programmers make in japan, how much do animation/video game designers make, how much do graphic designer makes, or if you can't answer those, what are high paying jobs in Japan, is cuisine really a good job to go into. I REALLY want to live in Japan, but I also want to make either good money, or average anyways.

Answer:
You might want to go to a site like the one below & see what employers are looking for. Although that can very well change by the time you get out of college. As the other poster pointed out, if a Japanese can do the job, they will always be hired first. The employer has to sponsor the employee. This costs both money & time. You will need to do a lot of research on this. Be aware teaching English is rarely a long term job.

With the advent of the computer industry there is a flood of computer programmers coming into the labour force. The truly able programmers are not so many and there are lots of third-rate programmers. The status and importance of programmers are taken to be low and some say they are construction workers of electronics. The average salary of programmers in Japan is just over forty thousand dollars. In America, the starting salary of college graduates of computer science major would easily be over $50k which is rare in Japan. Companies from America such as Intel, Microsoft, IBM, etc. pay their employees a little bit better than Japanese companies, just as much as they do in America but they have specific requirements such as an aptitude in both Japanese and English. Japanese big corporations are also good, but they are the kings of the industory and they want only great students. American companies and the top Japanese multinational conglomerates are the only ones that treat programmers good and where few best people work for. Overall the salary programmers in Japan isn't so good. Now I've talked about Japanese people not Americans. Companies in Japan including ones from America don't hire students from America. Those Americans working in Japan are transferred from America.

If there is a japanese person to fill the job, you won't get one period. To live in japan you MUST get a workers visa and be sponsered by a company or go to a university there with a student visa. price of living is very very high. The best job you'd probably get would to be an english teacher.
