Is ChiuFen worth a trip?

Shall I take this trip, is it worth it?

  • I'm planing a trip for my BD, and I intend to go alone. I intend to follow this route: Hakata>Yoshinogari>Hakata(stay overnight)>Kurokawa Spa>Hakata(night bus to Hiroshima)Hiroshima>Iwakun.i > night bus home I like Japanese history, culture and nature , but some recent experienses/cultural clushes hurt me too much and I'm afraid I won't be able to enjoy the trip fully. Another option is to send the money I saved for the trip to help my brother. He has birthday soon ,and he finances his studies alone, so he definitely needs some extra cash. And he is the only one person to rely on I have. But I may not have another chance for such trip...

I think you should go, too. Because you may not live in Japan forever. And you should visit Hiroshima or Nagasaki while your in Japan. I understand thinking about your brother because I have a brother & sister, too, and miss them badly. You can buy something to your brother and share your experience on your trip. (If I'm your brother and I find out later that you quit vacation and send money .. I would be really sad.) It's your BD! You can't try keep hard yourself all the time. You need relax every once a while to let out your stress so you can smile again.

You will always have another opportunity to travel. You do not have to travel to enjoy culture, history or nature. Visit a museum in your area. Visit and spend the day with an elderly person who would REALLY enjoy talking to you. Go see a play. You can still spend the night at a cozy hotel. Send the rest to your brother for his BD.

I think you should definitely go on the trip. Sounds like a once in a lifetime opportunity. Plus, this could help you out, I've got a way to get you a really cheap phone card. Just go to www.phonehog.com and you'll get some really good options. Check it out...can't hurt :)

Well, I would suggest taking the trip (especially if you've never been to Hiroshima. The history is truly eye-opening for a Westerner, I think.) however, I must say that it is difficult to respond to the things that are making you question the trip, because they are so vague. I assume that these "recent experiences/culture clashes" were purposely kept vague because they may be personal, but not knowing what they are does make it difficult to imagine what sort of culture clashes might make you not want to experience the aspects of the country that you love (history/culture/nature). Also, your brother's situation... If he is studying in college, then he is bound to encounter debt. I wouldn't worry too much about this, at least not right now. Of course, if there is more information about his situation that may make such money more urgent, then I suppose you would have to consider that on your own. I still feel like you could give him a little money ($20-50) and still go on the trip, though. It'd seem like a shame to not go on the trip just for that however, you know his (and your own) situation much better than I do...

you can go on this trip, but i do suggest you visit mount fuji, the shinkansen and the disneylands. okay, i am weird now. lets come back to what you were saying. you can go visit Hakone, yes, becuase they have the ancient houses and historical features, and in the background there will be mount fuji. i suggest that you still can go your way, but you should think of giog to recreational places too.... Good Luck!
