Hi, I'm an American and I just got back from Japan. I went to Osaka, Kobe, and Tokyo. It is an amazing place to visit. There are 3 main things that you need to know. 1) Things in Japan are very expensive, but there is a great disparity of price if you know where to look. If you eat out at restaurants on the street, it can be very cheap. But in a hotel, the cheapest bottle of wine cost me $130, one dinner was $80, not worth it. 2) Taxis and cabs are very expensive again, you need to take subways and trains. The public transportation is very developed there, so you need to take the subways. You can also take the bullet train (shinkansen) from Osaka to Tokyo. 3) People in Osaka do not speak English as well as people in Tokyo. Osaka is not the capital city, and I had a difficult time talking with people in general. You can bring your friend to help you out with this, but it is probably harder since Japanese girls are also shy. If you're nice yes, but it depends on how long you will be in Japan for.

Japan is a great place to visit and one of the hot destinations for 2012. Osaka and the Kansai area of Japan is one of my favourite areas. The people in Osaka are really relaxed and easy going and the food is amazing. You have to try Okonomiyaki & Takoyaki – Two must try local delicacies, Okonomiyaki (Japanese savoury pancake) which is also known as "Osaka Soul Food" and Takoyaki (octopus balls) both are famous and popular street food. Some great sights of Osaka include Osaka-jo Castle, Umeda Sky Building, Dontobori, Osaka Aquarium and Universal Studio Japan.

Japan is one of the best places to visit and in particular Osaka! You can visit the Osaka castle, walk and shop at Dotonbori and basically take in Japanese culture. You can check out the aquarium and visit Universal Studios Japan. And if you haven't decided how long you want to stay in Japan, you can take a paid tour of Osaka or take the train to Tokyo. I've been working in the travel industry for over 10 years and Japan is one of our best destinations. You will have a blast - oh and keep in-mind that things can get a bit pricey. As far as impressing a young Japanese lady, have your friend help you with that by being your wing-man. Plus keep humble - no better way to impress a lady than by being humble. Have a good time!

Japan is a fabulous country! but you should look out for: 1. Do not blow your nose in public! Sneezing is okay, since it can not be helped. 2. No talking on your phone in the train. Very rude. Most people like a quiet peaceful ride. 3. Beware because some station in Rush Hour have two train cars that are for women only, the sign usually says in both Japanese and English, very small though. 4. And there is NO shaking hands. A bow is perfectly fine. It's not because they are all germaphobic, that was just the ancient way. 5. Try to blend in. In Japan, individualism isn't always appreciated. Example: I once say a foreigner wearing a huge hiking back pack at a Tokyo train station. Let's just say most people where staring (it will be fine, for course, if you just arrived and have luggage) 6. take off your shoes entering the house. Some restaurants have you do that as well. Even some doctors offices. 7. Learn how to use chopsticks 8. If you don't know what to do at a dinner or restaurant, look at the oldest person there, because they are USUALLY doing the right thing. and do beware, that some people WILL stare because you are black. Don't take it as offense, but Japan isn't an immigrant country, so not all are use to foreigners

do you really believe staying in japan in summer is enough to have a girl to go out? what relationship you want to have? many of japanese girls are not that promiscuous. if you are from English speaking countries, you can get a slutty, but if you are from develponig countries, there is no hope.
