Where Is You Model And Act?

Would I even have a chance to act or model in Japan?

  • With all my heart, I love acting modeling and singing. But, I'm just not fitting the typical "U.S." model. I'm moving to Japan after i graduate high school, and I want to become a model/ actress. I'm working on the language (I can almost speak it fluently) and understand the culture. Japan is the ONLY place in the world I want to be! I dress in the Gyaru fashion, I'm petite (5 ft 2, 90 lbs). I have naturally cat-shaped grey eyes (plus the circle lenses), my mouth is relatively small, with fuller lips (I'm going to get my nose fixed). I'm working on a passport and I've modeled before a few years back. I can't stay in the u.s. , because like I said, I don't think the general public would understand my style here. Is there even a possibility I could peruse my dream?

    If you are really willing to do it, you just have to try without asking other people. BTW, you can't move to Japan right after high school because you need any visa. Or do you have any plan to get a visa? Addition: >BUT, I am going for a foreign exchange program next year. It does not make much sense. I thought foreign exchange program is a program you take while you are in school. You can't take it after high school, can you?

Have you seen American models on Japanese TVs very much? You will see a lot of foreigners but they are usually NOT a model. You do a research first. I guess Japanese people would NOT understand your style, too.

I say give it a shot, it can't hurt to try. ^^ But aren't you a tad short for modeling gigs? I know you said you did it before, but...how did you get the job? Or was it a one/few-times thing? As for being gyaru, i think you will have lots of competition...have you ever been to japan...seen the shop workers who look like the magazine girls? Of course i don't know what you look like so please don't take it personally...maybe you look like a goddess ^^ Good luck~!
