Want to study abroad in Japan for biology.?

  • I keep searching and searching but i cant seem to find any programs for Biology, why is that? I am also considering photography or philosophy. Can anyone help me find a school that can match any of these majors. also when is the best time to go to Japan, im a sophomore and this is my last semester until i transfer to a university. Any help regarding study abroad in japan will be appreciated.

  • Answer:

hey Claudia, Japan has a ton of programs in biotech/human physiology research. since ur in university, if in the US, i'd recommend going through ur own home dept (often dept. of international study abroad) or sometimes the NSF (national science foundation) has grants / etc. some major universities in japan: tokyo university, kyoto, tsukba, etc.

I recommend ICU(International Christian University) at Mitaka, Tokyo. They have various major classes in English. However, it's one of the most competitive school in Japan. You, of course, should take Japanese classes. Some students who succeed in an examination to both TOKYO univ and ICU decline former and enter latter.
