  • Answer:

For the air fare contact a travel agent - it varies a lot depending on the season. They can be as low as AU$760 with a cheaper carrier. Places to stay vary as well - in Tokyo you can find something as low as 2300 yen/night for a single hotel room. See http://www.wix.com/astroflight/accommodations For typical Japanese prices, see http://www.tokyopriceguide.com You can convert currencies at sites like http://www.oanda.com or http://www.xe.com

Air fare: You need $1200-1500 Hotel: Usually, you need $120 per night if you want to stay at a hotel. If you want to save money, you need to stay at a hostel which will cost $40-60 per night. If you want to stay at a luxury hotel, you need $250-300 or more. Food, transportation and others: You need $60-120 or so per day. If you want to enjoy shopping, you need more. So you need $120 for hotel and $90 for others per day. If you want to stay in Japan for 2 weeks, the total cost will be $2940.

ask your travelling agency for the cost and always look up the rate of currency also, that would be your hint.
