Answer:
You can't move to Japan without your parents if you are under 18. If you are 18 or older, you are not supposed to go to a high school in Japan. You would go to a college.

well, yes. i am assuming your 18. and that you speak fluent japanese and understand an osaka dialect. you would have to go to the school and tell them that you would like to apply to their school. you have to get a uniform, which depends on the school. they're pretty pricey. you will be tested and if you pass, you get in!though some high schools dont do that anymore. high school in japan is sort of like university. if you aren't smart you get into low schools and contrary. some of the schools i would recommend (ill add difficulty to get in) Izumi school of osaka. - this is a common school and a lot of students go here. its not that hard to get in. id say B-C average. here's the site to learn more http://www.osaka-c.ed.jp/izumi/english/ Shimizudani High School- very top priority high school. id say A-B average. its very good to get into this high school and its a very respected high school. to learn more they're site is right here http://www.osaka-c.ed.jp/shimizudani/ (dont forget that high school in japan starts at a different time that high school in america) those are two schools i know of atleast. though your best bet would to not go head first into japan! trust me, it's scary, not to mention difficult. if i were you, try and go on an exchange program. i know not everyone can afford it, but AFS is an international exchange program that helps with financial assistance. they helped me and i went for a year with free tuition. so, i hope this helps you somewhat, and good luck whatever choice you make!
You can't enrol in Japanese schools unless you are legally resident. You are can't get a visa to be legally resident unless you are over 18 and have the money and qualifications for either a work or student visa. Under 18 means you can only move to Japan with your parents. BTW, they only speak Japanese at Japanese schools, you'd have to pay megabucks for an English speaking international school. I suggest you forget about emigrating anywhere until you have at least got a degree, no country will want you and give you a visa without one. It is also incredibly stupid to consider moving to a country you've never even visited.

I'm just going to reinforce what otaku said. Assuming you are 18, speak fluent Japanese and can pass tests in Japanese that are harder than the SATs, then you will be fine. Oh, but you will also have to have enough money for the ticket, tuition, room and board while you are there. Also, since a lot of classes won't transfer (I assume you haven't taken much 国語、日本史) you will probably have to go two years to graduate from high school in Japan, making you 20 when you graduate high school. キモイ! (more to the point, now allowed, as the cheapest stated. Just trying to make a point.) In short, there are rules for these kinds of things. It would be difficult/expensive enough to get into a study abroad program for your last year of high school. What you want to do is in fact impossible and illegal without your parent's permission.
