What keeps Islamic terrorists away from Japan?

This is to my knowledge, so I may be wrong, and if I am forgive me :) As far as I can tell, Japan simply has a less obvious influence in the Middle East. The American oil companies are a very visible force in the Middle East, and America also has a history of being involved in Middle Eastern politics, with dealings with Israel, The Gulf War, Iraqi freedom, ect. Also, Japan doesn't interfere military-wise with many countries, so they are less obvious to the extremists. Extremists, who find people to attack for various reasons, have less prompting to attack Japan as they do America, for better or worse. That's the best summary I can give you.

Japanese diplomacy does not support any single nation in Middle East and surrounding areas, particularly Israel. So Islam terrorists do not have a reason to target Japan. And Japan does not issue visa easily to foreigners.

Maybe the fact that Japan does not murder large numbers of innocent civilians in Muslim countries. @Shinzo, the questioner asks about terrorists, not extremists.

Female power? Where? Pokemon? Why would anyone hate Japan for that? But it's because Japan doesn't FORCE it's viewpoint on other countries. Didn't you hear all those news articles that stated outright that the reason for 9/11 was America's support of Israel's invasion and abuse? As Japan doesn't do that sort of thing there's little reason for it to be a target, although officially it actually is a target because it gives free oil to US troops who go around murdering innocent civilians in the hope they might get one or two activists. (The term terrorist is difficult to use in a multicultural environment like the internet. To you, Muslim activists are terrorists. To many Muslims, American troops and governments are terrorists, along with Israel. It's purely down to your point of view.)

I'm japanese. For japanese, white people and black people and Muslim people are all same. We treat all of them as gaijin. So, Muslim relax in japan. In japan, some of them drink alcohol and eat pork. Japanese don't put pressure on them especially. Japanese just distinguish between japanese and foreigner. Muslims enjoy their life in japan as they like.

Japan doesn't mess with other countries like the U.S. does.
