When you mail to hong kong do you use China as the country?

  • Hi, when you mail to Hong Kong, do you put china in the end? eg: 12345 Street, Sha Tin, Hong Kong, China or do you just stop at Hong Kong? Thanks for the help!!

Hong Kong is international city in Asia. Every body knew where is it..Even my friends in hometown sent some mail to me, just wrote Hong Kong or HK or Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). Never put China in the end. 98765 Streets, Cantral, Hong Kong (HKG) Moreover, i knew Hong Kong is not a part of China political systems and different places!! Why i need put China in the end???!

Why not? I will use China in the end. Because Hong Kong is belong to China since 1997.

It will work either way, with or without CHINA written. Hong Kong is a separate territory in its own right and everyone knows it. It won't get lost.
