What is the biggest mall in China?

Did you know China has the world's biggest mall?

  • it's called the south china mall, wikipedia says much of their retail space remains empty though. I guess they need to get a subway stop to the mall to bring in more human traffic, to boost sales up, to fill up alll their retail space.

  • Answer:

The developer has built the biggest mall in the wrong area and it is hard to boost the sales up!!!! Dongguan is a factories area, I doubt that people from the cities would drive to this South China Mall to shop, 600,000 m2 is just too big to get it filled up by tenants for a not so ideal shopping area! Big =/= good! P.S. the mall in Edmonton is not the biggest, according to wikipedia, it has only 570,000 m2.
