How much does Dior and chanel cost in Hong Kong?

  • Hi I am going to Hong Kong in a few weeks, and I would really love to buy some new sunglasses, I wonder what prices are like I am from the UK and find that the US are bit better for the exchange rate, but whats Hong kong like? Anybody ever shopped for this when they've been there? Whats the comparison like? Many thanks.

    It pretty much about the same here in the US but the price is like $10.00-$20.00 USD higher, so there's not really a difference of buying it here of there. If you want to shop at main shops, Central has a lot of like Chloe, Chanel, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, etc.

The Hong Kong Dollar is tied to the US dollar! The exchange rate never changes. Ignore the idiots above. You will find the price on major brand names almost the same. Unless you find the fakes, then the price can vary so much depending on how much they cheat you! You can find bargains, but you can find bargains anywhere? Perhaps on Mainland China you can find a better deal, the yuan is not tied to the dollar. It increases almost weekly in value.

It's all about bargaining. That's the thrill of shopping in Asia. You may get sunglasses for about 2 dollars while the person after you may buy them for 10. It's what you know and if you don't know much about Hong Kong then you may pay 10. Watch others shopping before you begin to buy. Shopping in Asia is an art.
