What is the cheapest/easiest way to get into Tibet (including getting the tourist permit?

How can i get the Tibet Permit? I just need it .Thank you .?

    Contact travel agents in China and they will make all the arrangements for you. ie. your travel arrangements AND your permit to enter Tibet. You are supposed to travel in a " group tour " but a "group" can consist of only 1 person. The travel agent will be able to supply you with your permit and anawer any questions you may have. Once you are in Lhasa you are free to look around on your own but must obtain a further permit if you wish to travel to most places outside of the Lhasa area. Don't worry about obtaining your permit for Tibet, they are simply rubber stamped at the appropriate offices of the Govt. Your travel agent will sort it all out for you. Many independant travellers go to Lhasa this way.
