Which site is good guide to travel to beijing?

  • which website is a good guide to travel to beijing china? i will visit there with some u.s friend next month, i have to give them a website for guide.

  • Answer:

I like www.lonelyplanet.com , www.beijingpage.com , and you can try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beijing Have fun. Oh... Remember to check out the funky food night area with the scorpions on a stick. Ask your hotel concierge they should be able to direct you to it. FYI I would recommend you getting a private driver for a day to do your sight seeing. The hotel concierge arranged a private car for us from 8:30AM to 5:30-6:00PM. It was a set price of 600RMB ($78 US) for the whole day. We made a list of all the places we wanted to see: The Great Wall ( 1.5 to 2 hours drive from Beijing), Summer Palace, and Temple of Heaven. It was very inexpensive to share, relaxing, no fuss, and we did it all in one day. You can also request for an English speaking driver. Good luck and have fun. Oh.. One more thing. You have to try the Peking Duck it is the best in Beijing.

when you visit beijing, you should learn about beijing first, about Economy, Transportation, Tourism, Hotels & Lodging, and some beijing travel map. in this way, I think http://beijing.triptochina.info is one of your best choose. and http://www.beijingtraveltips.com is also good too. wish you have a nice trip to beijing.

Welcome to my hometown - Beijing! Hope this website helps: http://www.jiasdreamtours.com/beijing.html FYI, in Beijing, you should take your friends to visit the Forbidden City, the 500 years old classic architecture with all the colorful history shown from "the Last Emperor"; Summer Palace is another beautiful place, which was the imperial summer resort and is a signature imperial garden from the Qing Dynasty; don't miss the Hutong Tour, where they will get a chance to take a peek at the old town Beijing and walk into their courtyard and have a face-to-face visit; Of course, you can't go to Beijing without visiting the Great Wall, my suggestion is the Mutianyu Great Wall since it's less touristy and best preserved, with a fantastic view! There are simply so many things to see and to do in Beijing, if you need any more suggestions, please feel free to contact me through our website at: [email protected]

1. Lonely Planet is a great website, as others have mentioned. But I found it didn't say too much for Beijing for me 2. www.thatsbj.com Click events, they have some great things going on. They even have a magazine for it too (That's Beijing) 3. http://www.beijingtraveltips.com/
