What are Subway prices?

I am visiting Beijing in few days. Need to know about subway ticket prices?

• (1) If I take Airport express to Sanyuanqiao and then subway line 10 to Haidian Huangzhuang, change to Line 4 to National Library , what will be total cost for subway tickets ? (2) If I take subway line 4 line and then transferred to line 10 , Do I have to buy a subway ticket again ? thanks.

  I was in Beijing last December 2010 for more than a week and the subway is my only means of transportation (I do not prefer to ride in a taxi because of language barrier) What I can remember is that, wherever you want to go, you only have to pay 2 Yuan (RMB). That means, even if your destination station is the farthest station and even if you have to change lines, still...you need to pay only 2RMB. You don't need to buy a ticket if you have to change lines. Why only 2RMB - Beijing's traffic is a nightmare. Almost all Beijingers have their own car. (Yes, their economy is now the 2nd, next to US) People are getting rich that's why the government is encouraging everyone to utilize the subway system.
