A Family Trip to Hong Kong & HK Disneyland. Which hotel & where to have cheap dinning around the area?

I think December would be a bad time to go for a family vacation especially when people in HK are in a break so as well as other countries near Asia. I went the August...almost all the ride have long lines even taking pictures with the staff dressed in different Disney character. 3 nights would be too long cause honestly if there weren't alot of people that time I went, would have finished the whole place like just half a day. I think Park Lane is good so my friend said so. Only stayed in a real nice hotel once. I'm not sure how near the hotel is from the amusement park. But I don't think there's places to eat outside the hotel besides those inside the park. The food inside the park isn't all that bad.

omfg...ive been 2 hong kong 2 times... its so dawm ****** amazin... i recommend the j w marriot or the conrad international... thats where i stayed... might be bad on a family budget... but its in admiralty... going to disney...u can really just stay anywhere... cuz u can take the subway to disney... hong kong is mad hot... have fun!!!

Stay at the Novatel in Tung Chung, the town oppersite the airport. from there you can get a taxi or the train to Disney in about 20mins, and into Hong Kong island in about 35mins. lots of good shopping in Tung Chung and plenty of places to eat and drink. If you staying for 3 days i recomend you take the kids to Disneyland one day and Ocean Park on anouther. The Novatel in Tung Chung is a brand new 4-star hotel and about 1/3rd of the price of those 5 star hotels in HK island mentioned above.
