In China, can you access Facebook conversations via email?

Whenever someone messages me on Facebook or posts on my wall, Facebook sends me an email about it. I can then reply to the email to respond or comment. How does this work where Facebook is blocked?

Facebook is definitely blocked here. Coworkers are using a VPN with complete access to Facebook and Youtube. Edit: Also, while in the States I would receive email notifications saying "so and so wrote on your wall" or "so and so commented on your status." I haven't received an email like that in months.

As far as I know, people in China can't get access to Facebook

In China,we access facebook, twitter and youtube by using Proxy Softwares,so many chinese access facebook everyday .just spend one more minute than you do.

Facebook access is blocked in China, but if you have settings that let you do it via email, without logging into facebook, then yes you can if your email isn't blocked.
