    By CAREFULLY listening to the customer's objection and then suggesting ways that your product or service might be beneficial to them. No one likes a "pushy" sales-person, but anyone who can afford it will buy a product that they see as saving them time, labor, or money. Some even buy for the prestige of ownership (I own a Rolex watch when a $5 watch would do sufficiently well). When I worked in sales, I tried to treat my customers as friends. If I could not help them, I would try to recommend someone who could. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
