Why is everything MADE IN CHINA?

Unions!!!!!!!!!!!!! keep asking for more money and the entire North America will go out of business.

What your looking at is the outside casing. Often in product manufacturing the outside case is the last part that is assembled and due to laws the finished product will have the country of origin in which the last bit was added and commonly this is a assemble process in which China's cheap labour force is used for. What it will not tell you is that the electronics inside would had come from chips from such countries as Japan or Taiwan.

Cheapest, technology, quick manufacture

Cheap labor, cheap ingredients, imitated technology, nothing else.

In China, more workforce, wage rates are lesser, resources available

I used to think the same. but i think it is because things can be made cheaper in china so they get it made over there and then brought over to the other country to sell.

China is one of the more developed countries in technology, therefore they tend to make things before other countries have a chance to.

Because China realized that they could build things cheaper, better, faster than US workers. The US of A is suffering from its success. So, China has been building the world's best factories and employing millions while the US fires its workers with the promise that everyone can work in an office managing something. It's not working. We are not working. China is.

and most of the stuff is made near where I live in Guangdong (near Hong kong). The easy answer is because its the cheapest to produce in China. Its also pretty cheap to produce in other Asian countries, but only China has a massive population willing to work for so little. Some of the stuff you mentioned requires some moderately skilled workers. China has more of those than anywhere else. If your phone is broken then most places its worthless. Here tons of people are able to fix phones, computers, shoes, or anything else you would want. Of course there are plenty of unskilled people, but it seems like only in China can you find as many industrious people. America has gotten lazy. There Chinese are willing to work, they are willing to sacrifice now for a better future. In the back home in the U.S.A. you have to many people that spend tomorrow so they can have a comfortable today. That is part of why almost all of the stuff in Wal-mart is now Chinese (as well as high end consumer goods).
