Can i book tatkal train ticket from any station?

What is the name of the train station of Beijing?

  • I was trying to book a train ticket via http://www.mtr.com.hk because I will travel from Hung Hom Station in Kowloon to Beijing. The problem is there is no stations named Beijing. Can I know what is the Chinese name for Beijing station.I can't book a ticket because Im not sure. Thanks

    You cannot purchase a ticket from Kowloon to Beijing via the MTR trip planner. The site you are looking for is for the subway services for HK and Shenzhen only. My wife travels to Beijing by train, she goes to the West Train Station of Beijing. This being said there must be a East Beijing Train Station. We have son in school in Beijing and she travels from Shenyang to Beijing. I hope this helps you.

Erm there are four big trainstations in Beijing. The one you want is 西北京 (West) Beijing. This is the one that connects the train. Just in case you want T98 (runs every even numbered day) T16 Runs everyday T202 Same everyday 北京西客站 Beijing West Railway Station OR 西站 ~ West Railway Station (short form) A tip for you, bring some food of your own. There are hot water dispensers on board at the end of each carraige. The onboard food is terrible, the beer is warm (and San Miguel which is horrible) and overpriced. Hard sleepers ain't so bad btw.

Beijing has 4 stations The biggest is western realway station, the train from south direction often stop here. The train from northern direction often stop at Northern railway station. There also has Southern railway station and beijing railway station, but no eastern railway station.
