How much does it cost to travel by flight from Kunming (China) to Tibet including airfare and Tibet permit)?
-
The travel agency in China said it's about RMB2700 (1 way airfare and permit). If you have went to Tibet, pls advise. Is it a good deal?

Answer:
That sounds way too expensive. I'm not sure where you are, but flights within China are cheap compared to the rest of the world. I think I paid less than RMB800 from Bj to Kunming... My guess is that you are trying to purchase tix from outside of China, I'd buy them in China. Air and Train are almost the same price... maybe 20% less for train.

True, most times they are cheaper through an agent - I know it sounds strange but most chinese people I have asked told me that - there are chinese airlines with web pages but the English versions usually don't work very well.
