Is Culturism the New Racism?

Is this the new face of anti-Chinese Racism?

  • I don't use Answers often because I have a life, but when I do visit I often see posts by someone called Cultural Insight, even though his questions and answers are obviously anti-American and anti-Taiwanese while sounding like an ultra-nationalist it made me wonder. Is Cultural Insight the new face of ultra Chinese racism by posting things that are obviously lies, false truths, and CPC propaganda. Is he attempting to increase the number of people who despise and distrust China and the Chinese people? Is this the ultimate level online racism, pseudo-ultra-nationalism that is intended to cause damage to the image of the Chinese people? Why would someone do this? How can they have so much free time to be able to do these things? No matter how hard I look at his questions and answers in the POV of a Chinese person, or in my case a Hong-konger's POV, I can't see how writing things that obviously are meant to brag about China while insulating others actually helps China. So I am curious does anyone else see this as a new form of anti-Chinese racism? I am asking this in the China Travel section because the Cultural Insight account is most active in the China section.

    That's an interesting point about Cultural Insight "attempting to increase the number of people who despise and distrust China and the Chinese people." He doesn't know it but he is damaging the image of China the Chinese people by what he's saying. that poor soul. Welcome NE14. I see you have a good grasp on the situation. However, I don't believe these persons (CI and Co.) represent the general sentiments of the Chinese people. They are probably just a small band of college kids playing childish pranks. They enjoy running around spitting out anger and trash just to irritate people. Obviously there has been some traumatic events in their lives which have led to a case of arrested development. I confess that I enjoy playing with them at times. Their concept of logic and reality is so weak that they would say 1+1=7 if the CCP told them to. I wouldn't worry about their creating some "racist movement among the Chinese." Nobody takes them seriously. Welcome back 50 cent and My 2 cents. Is "No cents at all" due up next on the agenda? LOL

You obviously hate China and make no effort to conceal your racism, so I feel sorry for you. It is time for you to grow up, join the adult world, and accept that not everyone shares your narrow-mined opinions regarding China. The world is a big place and you are just one racist voice among 6 billion. Most other people are not consumed by hatred and rage, so they have different opinions than you do. Try to imagine the world as a happy place, instead of the dark and miserable world that you inhabit. Your rambling question suggests that you have a paranoid and delusional fear of China. Do you seriously think that the Chinese government cares what anyone says on Yahoo Answers? I am utterly amazed that anyone could be so fearful and obtuse as to imagine that remarks on YA matter to the world. Most of the people participating in YA are bored, retired, or wasting time while their dinner cooks in the microwave. I encourage you to turn off your computer, open the curtains of your dark room, and let the sunshine of reality flow in. Try to make some friends, get a job, go to school, or do something constructive with your life. Abandon your anti-Chinese sentiments and seek salvation through Buddha, Allah, or the deity of your choice. CI is american, living in california. he's not chinese, but knows china well. get ur facts strait first. and don't get over sensitive and insecure. no one cares about yahoo in the world. most people i know don't use yahoo at all, they use FB, youtube, google etc... i happened to open a yahoo account years ago so i'm here often, and i don't like wasting time on youtube watching stupid videos. people on yahoo simply express their POVs, just like you. no more no less. we are all equal. what do u think of those who live in china, rely china to give their paycheck by being an ESL teacher, but constantly bashing the country or the people or the CCP? are they doing a service to USA or UK or not? don't they make people think all american or british are ignorant ***holes? people just have their right to their opinion, that's it. if one day yahoo is broke, we won't meet here anymore. we will find other place to express our opinions.

My comrade CI is a creative writer. He works hard to get promotions from CPC-PRC. We all commend his great effort in glorifying China by helping us cover any "bad" truths about it while ridiculing USA, Taiwan and Japan. If Mao is still alive today, he would've been very proud of CI, good thing he's dead. But what he really does is to get back on the Top 10 best answerer's board of this section again, so that his answers will seem more believable to the audience. Due to constant reportings and suspension of his other accounts, CI has to make more accounts in order to keep up and continue his work as usual.

As others have pointed out, what you refer to is not really anti-Chinese Racism. It is the work of a few misguided (or plain stupid) people who think they are "Doing The Right Thing." I'm often astounded that these 50 cent (aka nickel workers) have such a poor understanding of how the human mind works. They've really been poorly trained by their handlers who, apparently, are just as uneducated. Makes you wonder how far up the chain of command this ignorance extends.
