Moving to Dubai for my fianaces work! But I have no qualifications...?

• Im currently studding in Australia...im interested in Art and would like to be a Art Teacher... But im not qualifide and we might be moving soon. what other work is there in Dubai that will help me earn some money without qualifications. Thankyou

  First of all I would advise you not to move to Dubai without being married. The UAE is an Islamic country and living together without being married is against the law. Also when Dubai turns a blind eye on this, fact is, if somebody complains, authorities have to take action. Your fianaces also won't be able to sponsor you. That means you have to extend your visa after 30 days for another 30 days against paying a fee of AED 500. After expiry of the extension you have to leave the country and re-enter again and go through the same procedure. You won't have medical cover (unless emergency/accident), you can't open a bank account, won't be able to obtain an UAE driver's license and better don't get preganant being single. Anyway, if you are still studying to become a teacher one day, you won't be able to work as a teacher in Dubai. Sorry, I can't think about any job. There are to many educated Philippinas and Indians who are qualified and work for a third of the salary then you would request. (Even if not, employers would take this for granted)., If you would have your diploma already, things would be a bit different. You might get lucky and find a position as a teacher's assistant, but........most employers hiring staff who live here already, prefer to hire (especially) women who are under a husband's or father's sponsorship to avoid paying the visa costs. After getting to the UAE, be a outgoing person and make contacts to other Western Expats. Let people know that you would like to work. Vitamine "B" very often open doors. Good luck and all the best.
